Özel Bir Rica

POETİKA YAPIM PRESENTS

ÖZEL BİR RİCA / COMEDY

Stefan Vögel’s play “Die Niere”, which became the season's most staged contemporary play across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, makes its Türkiye premiere under the title “Özel Bir Rica”.

One dinner. Two couples. And a single question that alters the dynamic of every relationship: Would you give your kidney?

When it is discovered that Zeynep needs a kidney transplant, the balance built on marriage, friendship, and sacrifice between two couples who have known each other for years is completely turned upside down.

A matter of kidney donation quickly turns into an accounting of who loves whom how much, what one is willing to risk, and how valid promises made in good times truly are in bad times.

Stefan Vögel’s fast-paced, surprising, and sharp comedy takes a witty look at the distance between who someone thinks they are and who they actually turn out to be in a real crisis.
