The rhythm of jazz echoes once again in the timeless nature of Kaş.
Kaş, one of the Mediterranean's most enchanting destinations, is preparing to host the refined sounds of jazz once more this summer. In its 8th year, Kaş Caz Festivali meets music lovers between August 28–30 in the unique atmosphere of Setur Marina, with the contributions of MarineERA.
Spanning three days, the festival offers a packed programme with talks, workshops, surprise events, DJ performances, and concerts by local and international artists. Setting off this year with the motto “Roots and Migrations”, the festival goes beyond music to focus on the bond established with nature. Breathwork and mindfulness sessions at sunrise, DJ sets starting at sunset, and rhythms continuing through the night promise participants a timeless escape far from the city.
The initial line-up announced for the festival stands out with a powerful selection spread over three days. 166 Days, the multi-layered project of Anıl Şallıel, one of the most prolific names in the Türkiye jazz scene; Julia Biel, the elegant and profound voice of modern jazz; Şenay Lambaoğlu with her powerful interpretation; Jembaa Groove, blending afro-funk and soul influences with energetic performances; and Feride Hakim Quintet are among the first announced artists of the festival.
Standing out with their interdisciplinary approach, Michel Godard Trio is gearing up to be one of this year's most captivating performances. Composed of Michel Godard (serpent/bass), Ihab Radwan (oud/vocals), and Derya Türkan, the trio will unite the musical heritage of different geographies with a unique voice. Homeland, a strong representative of contemporary jazz on the local scene, will be one of the festival's standout performances with its line-up featuring Tuluğ Tırpan, Serkan Çağrı, Mehmet Akatay, and Mehmet Özen, building a musical bridge between east and west.
Expanding its programme and enriching its experience zones with each passing year, Kaş Caz Festivali is ready to offer its participants not just a festival, but a holistic experience thanks to the powerful connection it builds between music and nature.
