About the Event
The rhythm of jazz resonates once again in the timeless nature of Kaş.
One of the Mediterranean's most enchanting destinations, Kaş, is preparing to host the refined sounds of jazz once again this summer. In its 8th year, Kaş Caz Festivali meets music lovers in the unique atmosphere of Setur Marina between August 28–30, with the contributions of MarineERA.
Spanning three days, the festival offers a jam-packed programme of talks, workshops, surprise events, DJ performances, and concerts by local and international artists. Setting off with the motto “Roots and Migrations” this year, the festival goes beyond music to focus on the bond formed with nature. Breathwork and mindfulness sessions at sunrise, DJ sets starting at sunset, and rhythms continuing through the night promise participants a timeless escape far from the city.
The initial programme announced for the festival draws attention with a powerful lineup spread across three days. Prolific figure of the Türkiye jazz scene Anıl Şallıel’s multi-layered project 166 Days, modern jazz's elegant and profound voice Julia Biel, Şenay Lambaoğlu with her powerful interpretation, Jembaa Groove blending afro-funk and soul influences with energetic performances, and Feride Hakim Quintet are among the festival's first announced artists.
Standing out with its interdisciplinary approach, Michel Godard Trio is set to deliver one of this year's most remarkable performances. Consisting of Michel Godard (serpent/bass), Ihab Radwan (oud/vocals), and Derya Türkan, the trio will bring together the musical heritage of different geographies in an authentic language. Homeland, a strong representative of contemporary jazz on the local scene comprising Tuluğ Tırpan, Serkan Çağrı, Mehmet Akatay, and Mehmet Özen, will be one of the festival's standout acts with the musical bridge it builds between East and West.
Expanding its programme and enriching its experiential spaces every year, Kaş Caz Festivali is ready to offer attendees not just a festival, but a holistic experience thanks to the strong bond it weaves between music and nature.
