About the Event
Two elderly urban women clinging to life in the damp, cramped basement flat of an old apartment building…
Sometimes grumpy, sometimes quarrelsome…
Sometimes cheerful, sometimes full of hope…
Shouldering the same burden and being companions to one another against loneliness, Diha and Siyen’s monotonous lives change one day with an announcement they hear on the radio.
Now they have someone to wait for with excitement.
And that anticipation seems to take them right back to their old days…
With “Hadi Öldürsene Canikom”, Aziz Nesin questions loneliness, aging, longing, and that childlike side kept hidden inside us with his mischievous and poignant pen.
A warm, familiar, and touching story…
