Antalya Sandland – Sand Sculpture Museum
SANDLAND is an impressive open-air museum located on Antalya’s world-famous Lara Beach, showcasing hundreds of colossal sand sculptures. Organized since 2006, this special event is among the largest and most prestigious sand sculpture organizations in the world.
Spanning an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, the exhibition features works shaped by international artists using 10,000 tons of river sand. Created solely with sand and water, these gigantic sculptures offer visitors both a breathtaking visual feast and an extraordinary artistic experience.
This Year's Theme: Space Adventure and Time Travel
In 2026, Sandland invites visitors on a unique journey of discovery under the theme "Space Adventure and Time Travel". Humanity’s adventure reaching into outer space comes to life once again in sand through many pivotal figures and concepts, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Laika, Yuri Gagarin, Neil Armstrong, Mars colonies, planets, and futuristic space technologies.
The exhibition also features sculptures inspired by unforgettable sci-fi productions such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Avatar, Wall-E, and more. Sandland thereby offers an impressive experience appealing to all ages, for space enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
A Delightful Experience for All Ages
Sandland is not merely an exhibition area, but also a fun and educational discovery hub. Thanks to special sections curated for children, youth, and adults, visitors both learn and enjoy their time.
Visitors have the advantage of visiting the museum twice on the same day with their admission ticket. The sculptures viewed in natural daylight take on an entirely different atmosphere in the evening with special LED lighting. Thus, two distinct experiences can be enjoyed with a single ticket.
The Sand Sculpture Museum is open to visitors every day between 09:00 and 21:00.
Free Telescope Observation
One of the most remarkable experiences at Sandland is the free astronomical observations. With the powerful telescopes located on-site, visitors have the chance to observe the Moon’s craters, Saturn’s rings, and Jupiter up close.
