The core concept of Fire of Anatolia is the meeting of civilizations. It is a dance portrait aiming to bring Eastern and Western cultures together, conveying universal messages of peace. Synthesizing folk dances with ballet, modern dance, and other dance disciplines, it presents a performance and a cultural feast of modern standards to the world. Originating from Anatolia's thousands of years of mythological and cultural history, Fire of Anatolia is an authentic project incorporating 3,000 folk dance figures and folk music compiled from almost every region. Bearing the signature of Mustafa Erdoğan, the project aims to introduce the world to the fire of Anatolia's millennia-old mosaic of culture and history, blended with peace. Taking his first step in 1999 to realize a dream dating back years, Mustafa Erdoğan initiated rigorous work on the project, previously named Sultan’s of the Dance. First, "dancers wanted" ads were placed in newspapers. Out of 750 candidates, 90 young dancers were selected, and an intensive working rhythm of one and a half years began. Rehearsals lasting 8, sometimes 16 hours a day... Costumes were crafted, music was completed. Aesthetic exercises, dieticians, and massage specialists were worked with. Stretching and yoga were practiced. The rehearsals focused on folk dance steps, ballet, and modern dance. Dancers took theoretical courses on the notation of Anatolian rhythms. And although the show was initially scheduled to take the stage for only 3-4 performances on May 3, 2001, before touring abroad, tickets sold out months in advance, leading to the decision to extend its run in Türkiye. Beginning its world tour in 2002, Fire of Anatolia has been seen by over 50 million art lovers across more than 8,500 performances in 109 countries (visiting many countries multiple times). Regarded as one of the world's premier dance companies thanks to its international tours and promotional activities to date, Fire of Anatolia is the most magnificent project reaching the universal through the power of our national culture. Performing at major events in our country such as Eurovision 2004 and Universiade 2005, the troupe was followed with great interest by the global press. The troupe has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including New York's Madison Square Garden and the Chicago Theater in the USA, Bercy in France, the Great Hall of the People in China, the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, and in front of the historic Mosque of Muhammad Ali and the Pyramids in Egypt, earning standing ovations from world leaders, including presidents, prime ministers, and kings.
