Fire of Anatolia continues to burn!

The basic concept of Fire of Anatolia is the meeting of civilizations. It is a dance portrait aiming to bring together Eastern and Western cultures, delivering messages of universal peace. By synthesizing folk dances with ballet, modern dance, and other dance disciplines, it presents a show of modern standards, a cultural feast to the world. Taking its source from Anatolia's thousands of years of mythological and cultural history, Fire of Anatolia is an original project containing 3,000 folk dance figures compiled from almost every region and folk music. Created by Mustafa Erdoğan, the project aims to introduce to the whole world the fire of Anatolia's thousands-of-years-old mosaic of culture and history blended with peace.

Taking the first step in 1999 to realize a dream dating back years, Mustafa Erdoğan launched the fast-paced work of the project, formerly named Sultans of the Dance. First, "dancers wanted" ads were placed in newspapers. Out of 750 candidates, 90 young people were selected, and a challenging work tempo lasting one and a half years began. Sessions lasting 8, and at times 16 hours a day... Costumes were prepared, music was completed. Work was done with aesthetic exercise, dietician, and massage experts. Stretching and yoga were practiced. The work focused on folk dance steps, ballet, and modern dance. Dancers took theoretical courses on the notation of Anatolian rhythms.

And on May 3, 2001, the show, which was planned to take the stage for 3-4 performances and then tour abroad, had its schedule in Türkiye extended because tickets had sold out months in advance. Starting its world tour in 2002, Fire of Anatolia has been watched by over 50 million art lovers across more than 8,500 performances in 109 countries (many countries were visited multiple times). Regarded among the world's elite dance troupes thanks to its international tours and promotional activities to date, Fire of Anatolia is the most magnificent project reaching universality through the strength of our national culture. Performing at major organizations in our country such as Eurovision 2004 and Universiade 2005, the troupe was followed with great interest by the world press. The group has performed at the world's most prominent venues, such as Madison Square Garden in New York, Chicago Theater in Chicago, Bercy in France, the Great Hall of the People in China, the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the historic Muhammad Ali Mosque and in front of the Pyramids in Egypt, receiving standing ovations from world leaders, including presidents, prime ministers, and kings.

Since 2001, Fire of Anatolia has staged performances in Israel, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, the T.R.N.C., Japan, Austria, Qatar, Lebanon, Russia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Siberia, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, the USA, Hungary, Sarajevo, Bahrain, Malaysia, Greece, Georgia, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Dubai, Slovenia, Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Crimea, New Zealand, Tunisia, Italy, Slovakia, Albania, Palestine, Spain, Portugal, Syria, England, and Martinique Island-Caribbean, introducing Anatolian culture to the whole world. The number of news reports about Fire of Anatolia in the world press has exceeded 10,000. With its 250-strong cast of dancers, the troupe can perform simultaneously in 3 different places across the world.
