Fire of Anatolia continues to burn!

The core concept of Fire of Anatolia is the meeting of civilizations. It is a dance portrait aiming to bring together Eastern and Western cultures, delivering universal messages of peace. Synthesizing folk dances with ballet, modern dance, and other dance disciplines, it presents the world with a show of modern standards, a cultural feast. Rooted in Anatolia's thousands of years of mythological and cultural history, Fire of Anatolia is an original project encompassing 3,000 folk dance figures and folk music compiled from almost every region. Bearing the signature of Mustafa Erdoğan, the project aims to introduce the world to the fire of Anatolia's millennia-old mosaic of culture and history, blended with peace.

Taking the first step in 1999 to realize a dream dating back years, Mustafa Erdoğan initiated the fast-paced work on the project formerly known as Sultan’s of the Dance. First, "dancers wanted" ads were placed in newspapers. Out of 750 applicants, 90 young performers were chosen, and a demanding preparation period began, lasting a year and a half. Rehearsals lasted 8 hours a day, sometimes reaching 16 hours... Costumes were crafted, music was completed. They collaborated with aesthetic exercise, nutrition, and massage specialists. Stretching and yoga sessions were held. Rehearsals focused on folk dance steps, ballet, and modern dance. Dancers took theoretical courses on the notation of Anatolian rhythms.

And while it was initially planned to perform 3-4 shows on May 3, 2001, and then head abroad, tickets sold out months in advance, leading to the decision to extend the schedule in Türkiye. Embarking on a world tour in 2002, Fire of Anatolia has been watched by over 50 million art lovers across more than 8,500 performances in 109 countries (visiting many countries multiple times). Regarded as one of the world's leading dance ensembles through its international tours and promotional efforts to date, Fire of Anatolia is the most magnificent project reaching the universal through the power of our national culture. Performing at major events such as Eurovision 2004 and Universiade 2005, the troupe has been followed closely by the world press. The group has performed at the world's premier venues, such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Bercy in France, the Great Hall of the People in China, the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the historic Mosque of Muhammad Ali and in front of the Pyramids in Egypt, receiving standing ovations from world leaders including presidents, prime ministers, and kings.

Since 2001, Fire of Anatolia has staged performances in Israel, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, the T.R.N.C., Japan, Austria, Qatar, Lebanon, Russia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Siberia, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, the USA, Hungary, Sarajevo, Bahrain, Malaysia, Greece, Georgia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Dubai, Slovenia, Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Crimea, New Zealand, Tunisia, Italy, Slovakia, Albania, Palestine, Spain, Portugal, Syria, England, and Martinique-the Caribbean, showcasing Anatolian culture to the entire world.
