About the Event
The legendary story of the Turkish comedy tradition, "7 Kocalı Hürmüz", meets its audience!
The legendary tale of the Turkish comedy tradition, Yedi Kocalı Hürmüz, is back with you. Living in Taşkasap, Istanbul towards the end of the 1800s, Hürmüz is informally married to six men of various professions without any legal standing. She hosts each husband on a different day of the week, keeps them pleased, receives gifts from them, and resolves her financial troubles. However, her heart belongs to the doctor she laid eyes on at her barber husband's shop. Feigning an illness, Hürmüz manages to bring the doctor to her home. The doctor falls in love with her too. From this moment on, the doctor and Hürmüz find themselves amidst events that are as convoluted as they are hilarious. With a massive cast of 25 actors, the play Yedi Kocalı Hürmüz will take you on a fairy-tale journey into the past, offering you an unforgettable evening with its dances and songs.
